Be a Showoff, Get an Expensive King Cake for Mardi Gras

It is Mardi Gras, time for King Cake. The legendary New Orleans treat that magically shows up each time this year.

Of course every grocery store in the carnival celebrating region produces their own line of generic King Cakes; many tasting as bland as the boring white box they come in.

Sucre's King Cake...and YES it actually is edible despite its insanely reflective icing.

But recently a new player has arrived, the Sucre King Cake. Sucre is a local New Orleans shop pumping out designer desserts. Their prices are high, but damn do they know how to make food look good.

I personally don’t really eat King Cake, but it is usually a staple found in every office and school during this festive season. And if the duty of providing tasty provisions to your colleagues and co-workers falls upon yourself…don’t be a slacker. Get a fancy King Cake from Sucre (Yes they ship nation wide). Sure you might be a showoff, but its ok because its going to get you points with the boss and everyone one else within smelling range  of the  decadent treat. And it is a guaranteed way to avoid being the jackass who brings the crappy cake that no one eats.

And even if you think the King Cake by Sucre does tastes like crap, then thats ok… because it still has got to be one of the most gorgeous looking pastries out there…and that can easily justify the price tag.
